Parage is a village in the municipality of Bačka Palanka (24 km) in the South Bačka District. According to the 2011 census, there were 921 inhabitants. There are records of Paragam dating back to 1473. Even during the Turkish rule in this area, Parage was noted as a place in Bačka nahija. Until 1904, Parage was called Paraga. The village has a church and a school. The parishioners are good hosts, and they especially express that on September 22, on the feast of the Birth of the Most Holy Mother of God, because then is the glory of the local Orthodox church, but also the village glory.
