Obrovac is a village in the municipality of Bačka Palanka in the South Bačka District. According to the 2011 census, there were 2,944 inhabitants. It is about 9 km away from Backa Palanka. The Serbian village dates back to the 13th century, and before and after it was inhabited by other peoples, and the place was named after the Avars whom the Serbs called Aubrey. The village has a Serbian Orthodox Church, a Catholic church and a school. The village is known for organizing the traditional manifestation "Shepherd's Days".
