It was named after the Karadjordjevic dynasty, and after the Second World War, it became a favorite destination of the then President Josip Broz Tito, where his first diplomatic hunt was organized. In Karadjordjevo, there is also Tito's holiday villa, but also a residence where many famous people came. Within the complex, artificial lakes were built, bird habitats were formed, a park was arranged, and this place was once rightly called Tito's Paradise. The nature of this area is what makes Karadjordjevo special.
A SPECIAL NATURE RESERVE
The area of the Special Nature Reserve represents the spatial forest and floodplain area of western Bačka along the Danube. It is one of the specially preserved complexes of marsh habitats in Vojvodina. It consists of two parts Bukinski rit I Mostonga. Here are formations of rare forests, indigenous willows and poplars, with characteristic herbaceous vegetation and many plants that are protected by law as natural rarities. One of the most attractive values of the reserve is certainly the high game-deer and wild boar. The mentioned types of game are the reason why hunting tourism is very developed in this area. The enjoyment of touring this terrain can be greater if you visit this complex in a horse-drawn carriage.
